5 Reasons I visit product hunt everyday

Part of my daily routine is to visit Product Hunt everyday – not just because I’m a superfan but also because I actually find it super useful and enlightening. It also helps me get access to some specials things that I might otherwise miss.

The 5 Reasons I Visit Product Hunt Everyday

1 – To Find the Best in New Technology

Anyone who is interested in Technology should be visiting Product Hunt on a regular basis – it’s got such a vast variety of products and services launched every day. You never know what you’re going to get (kinda like a box of chocolates, if you get the reference!).

2 – Supporting my Indie Maker/Hacker Friends

I’ve slowly built up a network of Indie Maker friends over the past couple of years and I want to do my upmost to support them – whether that is just an upvote, some helpful feedback or just participating in conversations they’ve started on the discussion forum.

3 – Join Beta Prorammes

A lot of the products launched on Product Hunt are very early in their lifecycle and many makers use the platform in part as a validation tool. This means that there are often new products on there with open Beta programmes, early access offers and Lifetime Discounts.

I’ve had discounts for Black Magic, Katlinks and more through Product Hunt launches. In fact – it’s another reason really that a lot of makers will include a deal as part of their launch 🚀.

4 – To Learn from Others

I learn a lot from the launches that other people do – what went well and what didn’t. There are just some makers out there that have a talent for launching on Product Hunt. All of these ideas I’ve been putting into the content that I’m making here on Launch Makers – Including for 30 Days to Launch.

5 – To Keep up my Streak

Last year Product Hunt introduced the streak feature showing fun little emojis. It’s just a bit of gamification but a lot of people are really into it!

Sadly I missed a day or two here and there (mainly because I got confused with time zones whilst I was travelling!) so I’m only at 69 as of the time of writing! Some people have obviously been keeping their streak since it was launched at over 450 days which is just amazing!

Now there is even a streak leaderboard which you can find here:

Why do you go onto Product Hunt Each Day?

I’d love to hear about why you build up that streak – or if you don’t care why not?! Leave a comment below 👇👇
